alarm problems
Hi,
Do import impreza's have a anti high jack facility built in to the car.... i have just had a cat 1 alarm fitted (auto watch) and when ever i open the drivers door the other doors lock... then when i get in the car and set off the doors lock... strange..!
If i open the doors with the alarm key fob and open the passenger door all doors can still be opened....
The central locking keeps going off and on while driving which is a bit worrying too...
Any thoughts would be great..

Depends on the alarm you had fitted. EU imports have immobiliser as standard, but they need to fit an additional central locking motor to operate alarm. From my own (only too recent) experience, I'd get it checked out. Certainly the self-operating, random central locking sounds dubious...

I know Clifford do a slightly modified alarm for jap imports due to the sensitivity of the electrics in the car (dont think they are as shielded as the uk specs), could this be the problem???
