Default Toad Alarm

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with my Toad alarm, sorry that this is my first post, i'm trying to get my car out of the garage and then I have somewhere to park my new scoob when I buy it over the summer...anyways...

I have a MP4 Toad alarm or Max Power 4?!? fitted to my RS2000 4x4 and the bugger is playing up,

I can start the car fine if i remove the ignition wire that's connected to the alarm and use a new unbroken wire harness [ignition switch to fusebox] [missing out the alarm] However if i use the wire that has the alarm joined into it, it causes the dash lights to flick on and then off when you turn to position 2 on the key. And then as the ignition lights arent on it wont start, sometimes if you flick the key on-off-on you can get the dash lights to illuminate for a second but then the flick off again, and the batterylight is lit dimly while this happens.

The battery is fine and the car starts perfect without the alarm bridged in.

I'm struggling to fix it and I spoke to GAP who installed it and they want £150 to give it a service or something.

Any ideas?

I've already considered burning it.

Cheers for your help guys!

It's in Lancashire, Rossendale,

I found a powerkey box today, the fob is attached to the keys, dont know if that makes any difference?!?

I tried to do the pincode reset, but the flashing light doesnt stop rapidily flashing for 30 seconds not 3 so it didnt do squat.

Any ideas? except for the sledgehammer?

Cheers for that Ian much appreciated! It'll be my dad who calls you as it's at theirs and I'm at work! He's got the low down on what we've tried.
