Default fitting viper 460

started fitting my alarm today to my 97 impreza its looking like a bit of a nightmare. just finding somewhere to mount the control unit wasnt easy. i think the dash will be coming out so i can wire the imobiliser deep into the wiring harness so its not accessable to any light fingered scum.

i'll be continuing the job on tuesday so i'll see what happens

i had my 460 fitted today, still learning the trade as auto electrician so didnt do it all, to be honest mate, half the wires are black and only labelled at the end so good luck to any thief who can tell numerous black wires apart just by looking at them, he'd be in pain from the siren alone. you just gotta make sure you cut lengths out of the standard wiring so they cannot be joined together again bypassing immobilisation circuits.

i got myself a blue flashing viper window sticker too

i got it all done. itook the dash out to hide it all behind there. it is now impossible to get to the harness with out removing the dash, so if someone is goging to go that far to steal it i dont think i could stop them.

next on the agender is to wire the folding mirrors to the alarm so the auto fold when the car is locked
