Default new clifford alarm , Cambus?

I am looking to get a alarm for a new mercedes sprinter 2008, I have called a couple of companies but what I have been told is that because of the electronic ignitions key and the fact that mercedes use cambus electronic system the alarm is a little more complicated to install?

Cambus what is it, does it apply to alarms or are they talking waffle??

cambus is like a spine and alows each componet of the car to talk freely to each other. inturupting the cbus can cause havoc with ur controls and throw up faultcodes

Well thats good im glad that he was not talking waffle!

I have been quoted £350 for a cat 1 canbus system OR £300 for non cat 1 (no back up battery siren) more than I wanted to pay but if ut means that it wont go wrong i have no choice!

The rrp of the new 330x range is £250. They are really good. To check compatibility with your vehicle check the Xpresskit website: XpressKit.com

I just don't want anything to go wrong with it!

I am in the south east so of anyone knows a decent installer please let me know!
