Default my03 wrx car alarm

hi,

got woken up this morning at 3am couldnt see anyone about, went down checked the car with the safety of a maglite tourch!!lol everything was ok until i tred to lock the car with the fob, as it just made about 3 or 4 beeping noises and wouldnt lock. so i had to just use the key to lock the car.

what is the likely problem of not wanting to lock and how can i slove this??

thanks
steve

Had it been raining or damp? if so check the bonnet sensor as these (definately on a clifford) can have issues if they get wet and cause false intrusion alarms.
