Alarm on Scooby
#1
I take delivery of my Scooby next friday. It's 6 months old and has a number of security devices fitted from the dealer.
Is the standard Subaru alarm any good. Should i get the dealer to fit a clifford or sigma instead of the Subaru one.
The previous car owner (he's a police officer) has had two immobilizers fittend and a gear box lock too). Having read about all the trouble owners get with their cars i don't want to chance it.
Any help would be appreciated.

The std one is fine.........especially as you have other security.......go spend £500 quid elsewhere!!
Will all that security you are more likely to get muggeed/burgled for ya keys!!!
A tracker wouldnt hurt!

Mr.M,
forget the replica - you will end up going down for as much as waving it around
If you are paranoid, the Barrier Deadlock looks excellent for "parking protection". Trackers cost more, and have an on-going charge, but may be an insurance requirement.
Common sense will protect you from 99% of "problems" - e.g. don't leave your keys in the ignition when paying for petrol, take note of cars who seem to follow you, don't leave your keys in reach of your letterbox.
Enjoy your car, and enjoy life

Does the M30 come with a keypad? Is it an option on the unit? Can one be added if not?
Does the keypad allow you to have a PIN code for disabling the alarm (just like Pugs)?
Thanks
