want to get a clifford g5 avantgaurd 5.5 on my forester.but i no the alarm is as good as the fitter.thanks john

I am a thatcham approved installer, by the trafford centre, but I don't do Cliffords, nor no I like them. A Toad is more reliable and offers pretty much the same features. Any reason it has to be an overpriced Clifford? I can do you a very good deal on a Toad if you like, otherwise SQ+ in Trafford park, or Global Ice Wired do Cliffords

 

well the only reason i want the g5 avantgaurd 5.5 as its still cat 1 with remote start and.but just out of intrest how much for a toad cat 1 alarm fitted by yourself thanks john

 

Toad's reliability is also limited by the standard of the installer. Same as any alarm system. The problem is that Clifford's are extremely comprehensive where as Toad's are relatively simple. This means that a bad install is more likely to be shown up by a clifford than it is with a toad and hence why it is important to find a decent installer who has been trained to install clifford systems.

Clifford over Toad anyday. Remote start works a treat, you can have blackjax anti-hijack, turbo timer and you can even have the callguard as a paging system or text your car to remote start!!!
