Toad Ai606 Problem
Hello,
My Toad Ai606 started playing up this evening. I set off for work, and the audible alarm started going off as I was driving along!! Nothing else, just the alarm (no flashing lights or the immobiliser cutting in).
When I got to work, the car was fine, but when i left work and set off again it happened again, the alarm audio went off intermittently all the way home and then stopped when i got there.
Any ideas?
Dave

Hi, if you are getting no flashing of the indicators when the siren is sounding off it generaly means that the siren is sounding on its own without control of the main alarm unit. i.e its running off the sirens battery.
check the wires connecting the siren to the alarm unit for chafing/cuts/nicks. then check out the sirens earth lead, is is possible for the earthing point to become coroded and act as a high resistance. ie. the cable has been cut and the siren will sound on its own without any triggers.
hope this helps
