Can you retro fit remote central door locking?

the way I got round this with my MY97 was to get a thatcham class 1 alarm fitted including an upgrade to remote central locking. They have to put a solenoid in the drivers door.
I shopped around and got the lot fitted for 250 quid by SKIDZ in Falkirk.
Of course you can fit a lesser alarm with the upgrade for less say 150 quid.
You will need to check in your area to see what deals are available.
