Problem programming my alarm fob (Sigma)
Hiya, I've recently bought a replacement fob with the intention of re-programming it so that my keys wont get locked in when the alarm sets itself and locks the doors on me !!!!
The thing is after reading a couple of sigma sams threads, I was under the impression this would be easy, using the **1234*91*n# code as he says..............Only one problem, I've just sat in the car ready to do it and realised that my keypad inside the car only has digits 1-9 and 0, there isn't a * button or a # button . I've just looked in my mates car and he does have them - how can I get around this ?????
I'm poaching advice from Scoobynet because it isn't covered anywhere else with as much knowledge , the alarm is in my '92 Vw Golf VR6, and the code on the back of both of the alarm fobs is : MPT 1340 WT Licence Exempt
PLEASE HELP ME SOMBODY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the description of the keypad, you don't have the Sigma M30 system, but an older Sigma SG30 system. The only way to program the Radio Keys to this system is using a CP1 programmer, so will be a dealer only job I'm afraid.
On a more positive note, the Radio Key that you have bought will be compatible with the SG30 system aswell as the M30 and should only take a dealer a minute to do.
You can contact our sales desk on 0870 417 7795, who should be able to advise you of your nearest Sigma dealer, but ensure it is a Sigma rather than Toad dealer as the Toad dealer is unlikely to have the necessary CP1 programmer.
