Default **Cat 1 Alarm & Blackjax**

Sorry if this is in the wrong place Moderators and/or Admins.

But is it possible to have Blackjax fitted whilst already having a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm (Cobra) fitted to my Scooby. Will any of the signals or anything else conflict with eachother. Don't want to start panicking now, but there's a lot of threads at the mo about car jacking. And the missus would be driving it most of the time. Perrish the thought anything happened to my missus with some of the stories on here.
Also somebody mentioned that his "Anti Hijack" was on, Whats this ?

Any technical help please / Prices

Chris

Blackjax can be installed together with ANY other alarm. It works on it's own so dos not matter if you have an alarm or not.

Blackjax will not stop the hijack - simply make it (much) easier for the car to be recovered should the unthinkable happen.

Should cost around £200ish fitted.

the blackjax is an anti hi jack device u key in a code when the doors are shut if u open the door and don't re enter the code, alarm will be activated after a short time and the car will soon stop.

mine had it fitted when i bought it
i think its really good tbh, just dont advertise you have it fitted.
if you forget to key in the code its no real problem as it will prompt you before shutting down it can be turned off for when you go for a service etc.
it should also mean that if someone broke into your house and stole your keys the car will only be a short distance down the road.

You can put it anywhere you like, ideally not obviously in view but within easy reach when sitting in the seat.

mines on the steering column surround just in front of the ignition switch, its only a dinky 2 button switch and you dont need to look at it when deactivating, etc

yup its blackjax
2 buttons, 1 for the digits and 1 to accept
so if 1 is * and the other is & and your code is 25
you just tap **&*****& and thats it, you can set the no. yourself and it can be 2 to 4 digits long iirc. it is a piece of piddle.
