Default Sigma Alarm Problem

Hi hope somebody can help me here. I have a 51 bugeye, believe it has a sigma fitted. My problem is that the alarm goes off on its own, even withn the engine running. The keybadf does not seem to work either. Been on holiday for 2 weeks apparently the alarmwas going off at 0530 every morning (whoops) My mate disconnected the battery. I have just connected up and its still going off even with the engine running, but intermittently AAAArrgghh!!!

TIA

Hope all is well now, but if the problem persists PM me.
Were the indicators flashing when the siren was sounding? If not and the rest of the system (immobilisation, door lock/unlock etc)was working ok, it could have been a poor connection or a break in one of the wires to the siren - this would cause the battery back-up siren to go off (regardless of ignition on or off) and operating the remotes would have no effect on this.
