The product decision is entirely up to you (I'm not here for commercial benefit and might be seen to be biased!!), but I would point out that the wiring loom for the Sigma system is built into the cars wiring harness on all RHD vehicles, providig reliable connections and preventing the need for aftermarket over-wiring. This should also reduce the installation time considerably as only the ultrasonic sensors, siren, bonnet switch and iimmobiliser cuts need be added.

Whatever system you go for make sure that it is a full Cat 1, not a 2 to 1 upgrade. UK cars have a Category 1 evaluation number based on the combined Sigma system and the vehicle's standard transponder immobiliser. As an import your vehicle's standard immobiliser has not been tested alone to meet Thatcham category 2 and does not carry a Category 2 evaluation number so you will require a full category 1 system to be fitted to stay on the safe side of the insurance companies in the event of a claim.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the advise, both alarms are CAT1 as like everyone knows it helps with insurance a pease of mind !

I guess what i was getting at was features like black jax make the clifford more of an attractive option, but i know from reading on here that the sigma is very reliable.????

so i guess i was after the clifford owners to give me there advice and confirm that if fitted well...they are just as good !

Remember you don't need a clifford alarm to have blackjax fitted, it can be installed to any car with or without an alarm of any make.
