help ???? toad alarm
hope some 1 might be able to help me out with my problem
outside my house i am having trouble setting my alarm
when out side other places ie work which is a few miles away
alarm sets no problem
batteries have been replaced in both fobs(made no difference)
when i fiddled with the aerial wire(or whatever its called)on the alarm box
it seemed to work a little bit better but only when i pionted the fob at the windscreen
where b4 i could set it from a few metres away
p.s
nothing has been done to the car this has just started happening the other night
thx for any help

Maybe a phone mast has been installed lately nearby, or the receiver board is on it's way out? try holding the remote to your chin, and see if it gets any better, and no, i'm not avin a laugh!

I had the same problem around phone masts, police stations and hospitals. Spoke to TOAD and they said the pre 1999 alarms were set to 433 Mhz, but the government granted a licence for 420-430 Mhz to be used, so you are getting bleed over. Yes, seriously, if you hold the fob to the side of your head, you create an amplification of the signal through your bent arm and this can work.
I got hold of the top man at TOAD and moaned, he sent a new unit for free and I got it fitted for £40, no further problems now.
If you want the codes for setting the various features on the Sigma M30, mail me at bullkeith@aol.com and put Sigma codes as the subject.
