Question

Hi

I have just enquired to Navtrak about my nearest dealer and the reply stated that prices will increase significantly if ordered after 9th July 2001.....

Does anyone know anything about this ?

Thanks

Gavin

Prices are increasing

Navtrak will be charging for the units themselves from 9th July onwards

RRP Passive - £450-£499 (inc VAT & install)

RRP Proactive - £499- £549 (inc VAT & install)

All orders placed before 09/07/01 will still be OK for FOC units.

Bugger! Will have to see what I can do...

Sorry guys/girls

Puff

Why the 'range' for the prices, or is this due to them not setting specific price yet.

Is this purley for the unit, or does it include the 9.99/14.99 per month fee??

Range is for ease of install of different car makes - BMW are a pain cos of electric systems but scoobs are OK - for instance.

Monthly fee on top...

Thanks Puff. Was curious.

Looks like I've got some fast thinking to do if I'm going to go for this.

What's the reasoning behind this? Tracker and Trackstar are similar prices to this with lifetime subscriptions (i.e. no monthly fees) and you own the kit. £500 + monthly fees for lease kit that you don't even own -- I don't think so.

But it really doesn't matter if you own the kit because if you don't pay the monthly subscription, then its worthless!!!

Seems like they just realised the economics don't add up!

Puff, I assume they aren't going to be retro-charging for the units?

Carl,

I'm not sure where you are getting your figures from.....

RAC Trackstar Guardian £599 + £33 per quarter or £120pa or £325 lifetime

Tracker Horizon £499 + £149 Install + £99 pa (or £299 lifetime)

By my reckoning, if you don't want to pay monthly fees, you are looking at prices from £800 (Tracker) - £924 (Trackstar).

When Navtrak do put their prices up, they will still be competitive but no longer a bargain (especially when compared to PTMW's current offer!)

Thanks

Gavin
