Question

I've got a Cobra immobiliser at the moment (cat2) and a scorpion alarm which is crap (always falsing). I want to upgrade to a cat 1 system, but not one that you need a degree in engineering to operate.

Want to stay sub £600 if poss.

Any suggestions?

Rich

TRy a TOAD Ai606 should be about 300 beer tokens for the basic system, plus whatever options you want. Nice and easy to operate, no false alarms in the Year that I gave had one.

I had a Clifford Concept 600 fitted last year for £600. This includes the anti-hijack system and a wireless fuelguard immobiliser. I have had no problems.

Alternatively they do a cheaper alarm, Concept 300 for about £300 and extras including the above can be added.

As long as the installer comes recommended you should have no problems.

Neil.

Another vote for the Concept 600 - the two unique features really make it worthwhile in my books.

As you're in Manchester, I'd recommend coming across the M62 and using Maximum Impact. Max (the owner) occasionally posts on here, and is excellent at his job. He's done loads of Imprezas, and really knows his onions. We have a "deal" for the ImportingImprezas group that will get you a few more goodies than standard

Give him a bell if interested - 0113 244 1448.

No connection, just extremely happy customer .

Barge,

I didn't realise the alarm had to be serviced annually. Is that just a requirement of certain insurance companies?
My installer didn't mention it and in the manual it says it requires no maintainance.

Just curious,

Neil.
