My car is a 00 my P1 and i keep getting interuptions of radio masts/ police aerials with my alarm.

when i park near 2 masts my alarm does not work at all and even the red light does not flash on the dash board.

i have to push my car away from the mast and then it will start, it is very annoying and imbarrasing.

has anyone had the same problem?
what is the fix for this problem.

Get down to your dealer and ask for the Alarm ECU to be upgraded to the latest version, this should be covered under warranty. Some dealers do however charge for fitting, should be about £35.

You won't have any problems with the new unit.

Phil,
I might be wrong but I believe it's done on an exchange basis, the unit is sent away for the shielding to be modified. You will need to take both key fobs with you for re-programing.
