I had one fitted by a guy on this bbs a few years ago. It has a one mile range and seems to be very good. Cost me about £85 fitted but I can't remember the guy's name I'm afraid. I'm not sure why you would want a greater range, what are you going to do about your alarm going off if you're 20 miles away from it It's great for extra piece of mind when your in a shop/pub etc.

Not using one, but I think there's a company called Autowatch who do a similar thing using your mobile phone instead of a pager. This seems much more effective since you're not limited by range. Most pager systems are limited to a range of a few hundred meters, which seems a little pointless to me.

A friend of mine has the Autowatch system on his car. It works great. It rings upto 3 numbers when his alarm is triggered. Dr Clifford fitted his system in Birmingham. 0121 359 1617.
