Question

I've tried the keyfob trick to put the alarm into valet mode while I disconnect the battery, but it doesn't work.

Can someone tell me what code it is via the keypad or e-mail (profile) me the list of codes?

Thanks,

Stefan

When you disconnect the battery, it'll set the alarm off. That's part of the cat1 approval to prevent bypassing the alarm.

So unless you want to become deaf and upsetting your neighbours, it's best to disable the siren while you disconnect the battery.

Provided the alarm isnt armed when you disconnect the battery. It doesnt sound. Trust me, I have done it numerous times.
On reconnecting the battery it gives a viscious squeal, (seems worse as you have your head under the bonnet) and sometimes arms. You just disarm again with keyfob.

Beastie,

When I was disconnecting the negative terminal, just before I was ready to disconnect completely, it gave out an almighty squeal; nearly deafened me, so I stuck the connector straight back on the terminal.

So, if I just disconnect the alarm won't go off?

Think I'll invest in some ear protectors just in case
