You can't just connect the wire up to the subaru cl.
Is there just 1 cl output wire on your alarm or 2 or even 6?
If there is just 1 wire from the alarm, it's probably a pos. or neg. armed output (goes pos. or neg. only when the alarm is armed) which will have to be connected to a cl module. Pirrana probably make them.
If there is 2 cl output wires, you need to know what they do. Most common type is, low current neg. pulse, usualy around 0.5 seconds but you need to be sure.
You also need to know what sort of cl system is fitted on the car. When you operate the lock in the passenger door, does the drivers door lock and unlock?
If the drivers door does not lock and unlock when you operate the lock in the passenger door, a central door locking motor will have to be fitted in the drivers door. The alarm will need to be configuerd to operate the new motor. A pair of 5 pin 30amp relays will be needed or the module to operate motors.
If the drivers door does lock and unlock when the lock in the passenger door is operated, the job will be easier. All the year 2000 model Imprezas I've worked on have had single wire type locking. You need to find out if your alarm supports this type of system(probably not) so you'll need a module to do it.
