Default Immobilser problem

My Forester 2.0X '03 is not starting. Have checked fuel pump and is not getting power. When I give it external power the pump works fine. Don't seem to be getting a spark either. Have checked all the fuses I can find as well as all the relays (eventually found the pump relay after much guddling around. All are fine. From reading various threads it would appear that the problem lies with the Sigma M30 alarm.
I have tried putting it into valet mode. (Do I need enter pin first?) but no joy.
Is there anyway that I can bypass the alarm so I can get the car to an auto electrician or Subaru dealer? I don't want to have to pay for it to be towed as we live quite far from any garages.

I tried looking around for a spliced wire at the drivers side but there are several spliced wires that go to light circuits etc. and there is no obvious wire.

When mine went, I got a mobile auto electrician to sort it. Don't know what he did tho' -- he said he had 'bypassed' it

When the alarm is activated the LED is flashing as well as the dash "key" symbol. When I disarm the car the LED beside the steering column/speedometer goes a steady bright red, the key symbol still flashes.
When the key is in the ignition the key symbol goes out.
When you try and start the car the red LED goes out. The engine does turn over.
