hi everyone first post for me here lol.
Had my car run up today at ava on their 4wd road.
They have done all my work so far and it done well i think with 218 bhp at all four wheels.
One of the guy's dad's has a 22b and it made 221 bhp at wheels last week so my question was is that accurate ? does a 280 bhp scooby make 221 at the wheels ?

Cool

Welcome to Scoobynet.

Pretty good figures you're puttin' out there.

With 218 at the wheels, it sounds like you've done a few mods so what's been done to achieve the results?

Cheers

The guy's 22B, ......really depends on what's been done to it, what fuel is being used and whatever else.

I used AVA many years ago for my Escort turbo and found the 2WD rollers to be consistant with readings.
I've never used the 4WD rollers for my Scoob yet, so cannot comment.

Best not to compare rolling roads with different companies, but stick with who you trust to look after your car when it's in their care.

Oh god alan you really want to know my mod's lol.
Ok decomressed firstly and wire rung block and replaced all gaskets seals and bearing's.
Separate ava's own management system with additonal fuel injector rail and 4 extra injectors.
custom intercooler 4 times rs turbo's welded together.
3" exhaust system which splits to 2 times 2.5 " with separate rear exits, 4 silencers in total.
escort cossie 3.5 garret turbo unit with courtenay cast manifold and adaptor plate.
modified plenium chamber.
Car was running unleaded yesterday bye the way and only running 12psi boost.
The 22b i mentioned is standard as far as i'm aware but was running superunleaded fuel.

What figures did you get from the engine then? Generally you lose about20-40% in transmission loss from a 4wd system

I got 267 bhp at the rollers but didn't get a at the wheels figure!

foz last lite i ran 253bhp at front wheels
yesterday i only made 240 bhp at front due to temperature changes and 218 bhp at 4 wheels.
I do not have a flywheel figure since this is normally a derived horsepower and ava don't do that.

Cheers Benny.....mods eh?...where will it end???

Curious as to why the exhaust system was split. Was it cosmetic or a power / noise reason?

Your 218 at the wheels sounds good, especially on 12psi.
My last run had 211 at wheels but as i said, can't compare different rollers. Also, bit more in the pressure side.

Its just chipped
takes the power to 267 bhp and 264 ft/lb
from 225 and 208

i got it done at Power Engineering In london when I was working down there- it's how the car should have been all along in my opinion and is now pretty "fast" The difference it really noticable.

i think it takes the 60 to under 6 and lops a fair bit of the
100 and 1/4 mile times.

nedd a trip to Crail to confirm though

well almost as fast as my mates prodrive'd scoob

As far as I'm aware its the only modd'd one in the deen although it looks standard- theres a pisccie in the members gallery at the mo

i am trying to post the power plot if i do i will post the link!

Reading between the lines then.... You're saying Benny doesn't drive a scoob......makes sense, since he hasn't mentioned his is a scoob and there is the possibility that you can put a Cossie on the 4WD rollers with the front end disconnected to run in 2WD mode.....

I bought a sprts one from switzerland a couple of months ago but i have a dash switch to select front or four wheel drive.
Ava's new software for the rollers shows three column's
first is power, speed and torque at front rollers
second is same at rear rollers
third is comination figure for all four wheels.
yes bye the way it is a cavalier turbo i have and yes carlos it's the same benny mac who just sold his boxster yesterday.

yes keeping it russ everyone else is scared of it too much customisation me thinks lol
Not bothered about the chips for now going back in to ava to have intercooler moved a bit to get origional cooling fan back in and remove the 2 motorcycle radiators and fans lol ?
Also going to attempt to make a pulse separated manifold to turbo myself should be done around december time lol.
So have you subaru boy's forgave them at ava yet or is it still a bad word?
I have known Alan and George for quite a few years now and i don't believe they would intentionally upset anyone.
I just hope when whoever was there "that day" goes for their free run up they were promised.
