I thought I'd introduce myself to the forum in the Scotland section.
My name is David,I'm from the Irvine area. I bought my black WRX Jap import (with massive red front mudflaps) back in January. I thought I'd take off the mudflaps as soon as I bought the car but they've kinda grown on me so I've decided to keep them on. I could hardly believe the condition of the car when I saw it (its a 93 model). There wasn't a speck of rust anywhere. The paintwork is also very shiny. If I had a dateless reg. number I think many people would find it hard to believe how old it is. I was also very impressed with the power and traction of the car, but I'm sure you all know what I'm on about. The only downside is the horrendous fuel consumption but I suppose thats the price I have to pay (about 90 quid/week). I have a Mongoose full decat system on order, can anyone comment on how good it is for build quality, sound, power, etc. My previous car was a Rover 220 coupe turbo. I thought that was a fast car, but all that power and front wheel drive!!!. Oh and by the way, as my username might suggest I also have a bike. Y2K model Honda Fireblade. Slightly modded for faster acceleration.
Anyway, I've seen quite a few Scoobs in this area. I'm wondering if any of the drivers are on the forum. Maybe somebody might even have seen me driving around.

Not seen you around mate, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya from now on.

Watch out for my Black Skyline, I'm guaranteed to wave back.

Welcome to the community, don't think it will be too difficult to spot you then........

I've tried a jap import with Mongoose system and was impressed with the increase it gave but also how civilised it was inside the car as some can be tiring after a while.

Hi David

Welcome to Scoobynutters

Mongoose system is one of our top sellers, sounds the biz on full chat but not to noisy cruising at motorway speeds, so a good all rounder.

If you are looking for someone to fit it.......(see profile)

Hi David,

I used to live in Troon for 8 years - nice part of the world. Didn't have a scooby back then though - went through a puma, alfa 156 and even a 1972 MBG GT

Best thing you've done find this bb though - great place with great people.

Richard.
