Question

How was Crail ? All gone very quiet ? Any records broken with that strong (tail?) wind ?

nothing special here.

with the dawes off and just a exhaust, in the wet with very bold tyres ( done two track days before i swaped them on the rims and done one more )

i was trying to find my ideal launch revs, technique etc.. managed 13.3sec best!!

at least now i have got a reference

Andy

Was very quiet @ Crail, and damp to say the least
I managed a 12.8, getting very sideways off the line .
They shut down the strip at lunchtime due to the rain, so we headed home.I heard they re-opened it later for 4wd motors.

The oval looked like it was well slidey..bet the tyre wall claimed a few.

Spotted a nice white RA with 555 graphics parked up...anyone on here????

Next Crail event is a Streetfighters drag bike shootout, but cars are welcome.

Meant to add that my mate Gaz from Dundee did a good 13.6 run in his scooby....not bad for a MY94 with 203,000 miles on it

and he almost beat Sam

Cool

You gotta love scoobs 12.8 in the rain There's only about 3 Subaru's in the USA that have gone quicker than that ! and that's in the dry on a sticky rubber coated track !!

Sunday at Star - Are we comparing 'real' horsepower ie at the wheels or are we adding the FMIC 'fiddle factor' to inflate selected numbers ?? Let me guess it's a MLR day

They started letting everyone back on not long after you left Dave, probably to get the strip dry quicker. Towards the end of the day it was totally dry again and I managed a new PB of 14.309s (CRX)

Wont see you at the next one (RR day @ Star) but will definitely be there for the 18th/19th May.

Cheers,

Scott.

Cheers Dave. I had 75s in which was a waste for most of the day, but I managed to empty my bottle again...

It's a Mitsubishi Rolling Road day, they've invited a few scoobies along just so they can give us a good showing up

well i am going down to rod bell motorsport to
get some more mapping done on sat with the apexi fc pro software
with this system he can live map the car on the move,do full data logging runs,
shows 3D and 2D maps and can data log the air fuel ratio 10 times a second.
so hope everything goes ok on sat then a run back up to star on sun morning.
hope it is better than last time turbo went on the dyno
i have 2535 roller bearing turbos fitted now
hope they dont go bang at £3500 the pair.
