Default Clutch Judder

Hi all can anybody help.

I have a 2004 Impreza WRX. I live in Inverness. The car has done 60k miles.

My car has a judder in first gear when releasing the clutch.
The clutch is not slipping or juddering in other gears.

I assume I will need a new clutch(ouch).

Can anybody recommend.

A good garage or mechanic in the Inverness area who could advise and replace the clutch.

I used to get this on my old 03 sti when i first got it and was told by some members of my local owners club that it was a quite common thing on Subaru's, they advised me to give the car a few spirited launches/pull aways and that would cure it, so gave it a go and sure enough the clutch was a lot smoother on pull away after that, so might be worth you giving it a go mate.

Yep, very common problem.

A good bit of clutch burn and you should be ok.
