Default WRX to STi

Hi, new member here.

Looking for some help with my current project.

I am in the process of converting an L reg wagon to STi spec. The engine is in, the gearbox is in and the rear diff has been changed. Oh I forgot to mention, it used to be an automatic. The pedal box has also been converted.

Right now, I'm swapping over the hubs so the manual STi driveshafts will fit. For some reason, the power steering pipes also don't reach so I'll need new ones from an STi or I'll have to get some fabricated. There is also a slight electrical problem. There is a plug on the left hand side of the engine bay which does not plug into the new engine. Both sides have 8 wires (can anyone tell me what this is for?). The plug from the loom is square and the one on the engine is circular. I also need a gearbox mount (will I need an STi one or will any manual one fit?).

Are there any other problems I'm likely to run into?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't know there was a difference with the racks. As for gearbox mount, any manual will do. What year of car did the engine come from? I've got a 95 sti and iirc on any classic there is no round plug on the engine.
