yeh it was cool.....in fact it was baltic

good day tho all in all - wished the jet-car would've done a run but maybe that would have been a bit too dangerous. There were some class moments on the skidpan as well...

Quite a few scoobs too - but man these cossies can shift...

Yup - a good day out. Cold but enjoyable.

Managed to get your keks cleaned yet John?

PS Just realised your sneaky revenge was to restrict me to 0.6Bar all the way home

Anyone else spy the sneaky Transit van with the camera pointing out of the half open rear door or the unmarked black MG ZT on the way home? I did and in time as well

The Policeman from the black MG ZT was laying three rubber strips across the road just as I passed at 29 MPH.

Arrow

Black MG ZT was sitting in Anstruther on the way in just inside the 30 mph limit with the Truvelo (three rubber pipes across the road) and the wires leading into the passenger side, and in another village on the way home.

Just one guy sitting in the drivers seat reading a book (probably a gentlemen's pamphlet )catching all the wee boy racers who didn't have a clue.

Sneaky

At least we know what to look out for next time around

paul,

aye that was me following u out, nice motor!!!

i had to do something to my car as i severely lack performance in a big big way!!! so the ice makes up for it!! all 200 kg of it!!!! i had to keep the bass down tho, cos my back bumper was a tad on the rattly side as you will have no doubt heard. need to get that sorted for next time.
it did the job tho, got my car very noticed and pictured and possibly into fast car, just have to wait and see!!!!

if there are any, who wish a mad ice install, the guy that did mine is the man to speak too!! gimme a shout if anyones interested

Made it there about 1pm but didnt get to run as I couldnt be arsed waiting an hour in the queue.

Pretty sure I seen Pete (Big red) but you were kinda mobbed everytime I went over so didnt wanna butt in mate.

Also think I seen Dave (is yours the white Impreza with the power readings stamped on the back quarters ??) but again you were never around for long.

Had a good day out at crail.

Saw the three pipes across the road on the way in, pretty sure that I was under the limit, although the buggers did have it set up just inside the 30 zone.

Spotted the camera van at the last moment on the way home, I can still see it now in slow motion.

Think I was doing about 33, hopefully won't get done Wouldn't suprise me though if I did

At least the 43mph everywhere driver in front will definitely get done

Andrew.

Good day...but waaaaay too busy

Our early convoy from dundee got word about the unmarked transit speedtrap just outside kingsbarns...so we all crawled past it @ 40 mph....then floored it .Arrived @ Crail to find big queue & gates closed, quick word to john 'the gatekeeper' and he let us all in..(you get special privileges being a Crailthrasher )

Most impressed with the new layout, start gantry etc. looks the biz, and the new strip is plenty wide and even a burnout area to get them tyres warmed up before your run .

I only managed 6 runs, one run mid afternoon I was queueing for 1 1/2 Did manage a run against the blue cossie escort but jumped the start...bugger..and he still just caught me at the end

Anyhoo, nice to meet some new faces and looks like CC's RA is the scooby to beat this year.Next Crail Thrash is Sunday 10th March.

Anyone know what the deal is with the 3 strips then ? I'm the opposite of yourself Andrew - I saw the van but can't recall what i was doing when i hit the wires . I was speaking to someone at work and they reckoned you have to be pulled at the time (1 guy sits in car with wires & calls his buddy 1/2 mile down the road to do the yankin') - anyone able to confirm ?

Be a bit of a b*gger to get nabbed as I was generally on my best behaviour yesterday

By the way dudes I have some piccies from yesterday that I can send if wanted - got a decent shot of the red wrx pullin away from the start and nailing a 323 turbo / starlet - not sure which ?!?(pete?)

good day

considering it was my first outing ever on a 1/4 miles strip i do also think that daves and CC cars are the ones to beat.

couple of things are needed to be sorted out on my car before i come back again hopefully with more experience this time now that i have a time to aim for and try to beat and all that

dave
can you send me one of these application forms, forgot to take one at the end

did any one take any pics of black EVO7 of the line ? a lot of wheel spinning toward the later part of the day

S-man, the three strips in the road are for a Traffic Master system - it will have been connected to a camera kit in the car/van that is recording all the time. They take the tape back to HQ, review it and if you were naughty, send out notices.

Anybody notice the other white van with blacked out rear windows sitting in the layby on the way out of Crail (towards St Andrews). Hope none of you going that way had out of date tax discs...

Cheers,

Scott.

scott - cheers for that (sort of!)...looks like maybe a couple of days of anxiety for me then I'm really no convinced I did anything other than stick to the limits yeterday but a premature 34 or 35 out of one of those little places isn't beyond the realms of possibility and the fact I have a recollection of noticing a ZT but not twigging as to the significance is making me wonder ....

nuthin else for it but to wait and see I guess...

cheers
