2 Years ago we did every stage
690 miles during the day, I was shattered when I got home at midnight
Never really noticed any of the stages to be particularly good or bad, the one up near Tain sticks in the mind as you get into the stage beside a tight corner with a ditch on the outside edge, so lots of cars siding off into it.

thats alot o driving that! i've always fancied doing all the stages but my trouble is i get fed up driving so if i was to do all that miles i would be so browned off that i wouldn't be able to enjoy the race
i even offered my mate to use the car but he refused, i mean refusing to drive a scooby wots at all about??????????....any way i'm looking forward to it this year as we are making a weekend of it

would love to go, but 1400 mile round trip is too much!
Anyway, some advice from a ex-regular Snowman competitor - go to the after rally party at the Mercury Hotel (Thistle or fitever it's called). It's the ONLY apres-rally party to go to and usually keeps going till 5am or so.
have fun

I am heading up and I have a programme. First stage is Millbuie 10.12 which is up the A9 to Munlochy B9161. Straight thru Munlochy and over the xroads. Follow road to Culbokie , the right to Killen. Casr park is 1 mile on lh side. This is a very fast stage made up of long 120mph 6th gear flat out straights and 90 bends at the ends. This is also the last stage at 16.03.
Anybody want to know where the other stages are , let me know

I've had a request for people to get involved with marshalling on the rally.
If anyone is interested, can they please e-mail dmackenzie@tidewater.co.uk or ring Donald on 07876 656479 . He'll be more than happy to discuss stages, times etc etc if you want more info etc.

I should be there, albeit as a pasenger in a silver FRST, so if you see me knee deep in mud trying to push the thing out of a field give a hand (or at least try not to laugh too much
)
I've got to get the train up tomorrow evening, I'll be relying on UK public transport for the first time in years

Bu66er, if I had realised that was you GM I would have popped over and said hello, we were in that carpark before heading up to stage5, and noticed the scoob sitting there.
Must say it didn't look like the most exciting of jobs, although there did appear to be plenty of eating going on
A couple of miles up the road you missed:

We did try our best to get it back out, but he picked a bad spot to park.

Now you mention it, I saw a Fester parking up over to our left - once you'd left, I remembered you were out in one and wondered if it was that one
