Gotta laugh this morning.

Fixed penalty, 3 points (was clean) and £60. Kicking myself for not seeing them sooner.

Could have been worse I suppose

LOL, When I produced my docs this morning, even the desk pc referred to the B*stard traffic in their unmarked cars

Ahem, allegedly 72.6 mph. Timed over half a mile.

Disclaimer:-

"Of course for legal reasons I was not speeding at all and am only accepting the FP on the grounds that its more hassle not to

I do not advocate speeding in any way...blah...blah...."

Was in the bl**dy RAV4 as well.... doh!

Stupid, thats for sure. In hurry to get home.

72.6 in a 70 would have been tough...LOL...

As John said,its a (bloody ridiculous ) 50 limit.

Was in Dundee on Monday - the approach road in is a 50, single carriageway, houses, airport, playing fields.

This bit of the M80 is 2 lane motorway and a 50

No defence, but it makes no sense at all

Still, the Traffic guys were at least polite.

Not sure if this is true or not...but the reason I heard for it being a 50 is that the on and off ramps (plus the tight corner towards the roundabout at the beginning) don't conform to the requirement for a 70 mph speed limit?

Central Region cops also have an unmarked Dark Blue 5 series BM with the bigger alloy wheels, and a greyish 9-5 Saab

Talking

I can confirm that I too have heard that rumour, allegedly even 110 is possible

It is also far less tight than the one on the motorway when heading back from Star where 110 is not possible (even were it legal to try)

Robertio,

I have heard folk tales that the Star corner has been taken at that speed..mmmmm....must have been back in the days before that Shelby Cobra, or was it before 300bhp.

I trust that was not in a std Scooby anyway John, I have heard tell of one of these inadvertently trying it at 100, the driver then spending the whole corner sideways trying to get around it rumour also has it the driver then vowed never to forget about that corner again
