Cool

The SIDC has a display stand at this weekends Golden Wheels Exhibition at the AECC in Aberdeen this Sunday.

We need to get about 8 Impreza's (old, new, modified etc) for the display plus 1 or 2 reserves. We already have 4 or so places filled, and hopefully will get a UK300 from T&C.

If anyone has a car available, please contact me today with details (name, contact number, model, colour, car age, registration) and I will pass these on.

Unfortunately, I will not have time to organise the event myself, but I will pass on the details.

Thumbs up

Guys,

I should be there too. Haven't passed my details on to anyone else other than JohnS. Have e-mailed you offline Stuart with the details, I should be there already though.

Unhappy

Unfortunately, John did not pass on anyones details to me, so we are having to start again from scratch. Unless John has spoken to anyone else, maybe Ken.

Stuart,

I think I sent another e-mail on Thursday or Friday to about 7 or 8 people who said they were keen to do it:

They were:

youself
Ken Ross (555)
Rob Doyle (RB5)
Iain Cameron (one of the very first UK cars)
Keith Paterson (Blue Mica MY00)
Steve Mitchell (22B)

All it needs is for someone to go along on Thursday evening to find out where our stand is, and then the cars can be put on the stand during the Saturday, or very early on Sunday morning.

My car might also be available, but depends on holiday plans

I'm sure that Ken, Rob and Iain can sort everything out between themselves

Ken,

you can request a power point from the organisers if you go along on Thursday evening or phone the AECC. Unfortunately I can't make it on Thursday, but fingers crossed I should be back for Sunday

John,

Have you heard if we can borrow the UK300 from T&C?
Also do we have some Subaru banners/flags like last year, I presume these also came from T&C.
I'm quite happy to travel to the AECC on Thursday to scope out the stand, anyone else going?

Cheers,

Rob.

Question

Can anyone find out if Mains power will be available. I have a few Japanese Videos/VCD (no not that sort) than could be used to bring some attention to the stand. I can 'borrow' a player/T.V from work.

Talking

I'm up in the granite city with my MY97 reddish blue sport this weekend.

It's probably not good enough for a stand,
( Wouldn't want to lower the tone)
but I might wonder round and say hi.

Question

UK300 from T&C? Have they fixed it then? or, is it another demo?

I waiting to see if we can borrow some Subaru banners/flags, should hear in the next day or so.

Bob C if you can bring your UK300 down to the show that would be great, cos I don't think we will be able to get one in time.

From the email sent out I don't need to travel to the AECC on Thursday, however if someone needs some info then I still may be able to.

It looks like from above and in the emails we have about 8 cars now.

Cheers,

Rob.

Looks like we have 6 cars confirmed

Myself (MY96 wagon)
Rob Doyle(RB5)
Keith Paterson(MY00)
Iain Cameron (MY94/95 Wagon)
Steve Mitchell (22b)
Ken Ross (555)

Bob C - can you confirm that your UK300 will be available ??

Possibility of John Stewart's Terzo, has he confirmed to anyone ??

So if we get the last 2 were sorted.

Iain (MY97 Sport) can you E-mail me with a contact phone number, we may need your car if John or Bob can't make it, it would be nice to get a Sport onto the stand.

I will try to pop down to the exhibition centre at about 5.20-5.30pm tonight to check thst all is OK.

Couple of things

Bob.C - can you contact me ASAP with a telephone number or valid E-mail address, so I can get in touch with you. I asked SDB to E-mail you, but the address you gave when you registered bounced.

I am planning to be down at the exhibition centre at about 3pm tomorrow, is anyone else going down earlier/later. I will need to keep my car until Sunday so we can just leave a space.

We can also get a MY01 Turbo (jap import) and a MY97 Sport if needed.

Stuart,

I'll be at the AECC on Sunday morning around 9am.
I'll be picking up the Subaru flags this afternoon.
If you can get more cars then I would ask the owners to bring them down, the more the merrier I say!!

Cheers,

Rob.
