Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen, 6th May
#1
The RS Owners Club have kindly invited us to take part in their annual show up here in the North East of Scotland.
It looks like they are going to have a massive display of cars this year, including quite a few "famous" names and cars from this BBS
It is taking place on Sunday 6th May (yes I know it's the same day as Max Crail!)
We are looking for a number of cars to put together a display stand, ideally clean and shiny, but don't worry if your car isn't up to concours standard, we'll be happy with any car that comes along. There will be prizes and awards for the best car on our stand, so get busy with the polishing!
There could well be the chance for some social activities in Aberdeen on the Saturday evening before
The event runs all day, and to get your car on display, we'd ideally like you to be there as early as possible.
Please note, that despite being located on a great driving road (South Deeside Road), there will be no driving activities on the day. This is purely a social event, with the chance to meet up with fellow owners and enthusiasts to discuss all things car related.
There will be a number of companies selling their producst and services there on the day, and no-site catering is also available (they do tremendous food at the Ardoe!!).
If you are interested in taking part, or just turning up later in the day to come along and chat, then please let me know. I have a small budget left over form a previous event, which could be used to cover the small entry costs, and possibly a bit towards the food and drink as well

Right everyone get their @rses along to Ardoe next sunday!
I'm part of the RS group organising the show and it promises to be a good one!
If the weather is half as nice as last year we'll be laughing!
See you there!

Might try and work somethink around the Crail thing...Pop in past that on the way up to ABZ, on the Saturday...
By "The Prince" I take it we are talking 'bout the Prince of Wales?
So long as we avoid Irish bars, and Am-a-desperate...
Of course all of this depends on the verdict on my diff, which is getting looked at this evening...
Fingers crossed!

It was a good day out. Lots of sun (we are all burnt to a crisp!!), lots of nice cars, some good chat, beers, food etc.
I think Ken has taken a lot of photos, so they'll appear on his website soon.
We had 15 cars turn out, including the Tut rollerskate . Jools couldn't make it, as he was offshore at the time, but he did call on the phone to see how things were going. His good wife took his car and kids along to keep us all company
A very nice white Sti, with 18 inch P1 alloys, P1 front bumper, spoiler and lights, and a Prodrive rear spoiler took the prize for the best Scooby of the day, though I never got the chance to speak to the owner.
Quite a different type of day to our usual events, but very enjoyable all the same (especially the beers and curry the night before )
