The heater matix on my Scooby is leaking causing a steam room in my car when the heater is on hot. My usual garage won't do it saying it was against their insurance policy to mess about with airbags without cages etc (the dash has to come out).
Has anyone had this done locally or know of a good garage who will do it. I have done a bit of research and as long as the battery is disconnected the airbags won't go pop.

Greer sport are based in Beith,can't remember the address,but the only experience I have had of them put me of them for life!

 

Soory Jer, though someone on here might have been able to do the job but he cant.

 

I would have thought that a dealer with all the correct tools, and plenty of experience of doing the job would have been able to do the job much faster, than someone else who may not have done the job before, not have all the tools & parts to hand (e.g. might need new gaskets, hoses etc.)

Therefore, say 8 - 10 hours at £3x - £4x per hour from a dealer, may not be that much different from 16 - 20 hours at say £2x - £3x per hour from your local garage.

I can see where you’re coming from John. I may phone them for a quote. I used them until my car got too many miles to bother keeping up dealer history.
I also worked a few miles away until getting made redundant today. Anyone need IT work doing?
