Question

Hello, Due to an unfortunate accident with my integra type R I am now starting to look for a classic facelift scoob. Should get insurance money through in couple of weeks. Looking for a scoob between £9k - £11k, saloon. What kind of mileage and condition should I get for this sort of money. All opinions welcomed. If you know of any good ones in my price range I would appreciate it. Cheers.

Specify face lift then(?) and year model you wish to purchase.

Craig and I have similar face lift MY97/98 models. I take it you are looking for MY99 onwards?

Not any faster than our monster cars! :P

My MY99 will be up for sale very shortly. DBM, 4 door 50k miles, FSSH, full scooby sport decat, tek2.5, sti V intercooler, samco's, blah, blah, giving in the region of 275bhp. I'll probably looking for between £10-11k for it

Food for thought.

Also are you looking for UK car or would U consider an import ? If the latter then you could do worse than visit JVS at Loanhead. You'd get better spec / lower mileage with an import but some people will only go for a UK car due to higher insurance (normally) and lack of service history (sometimes). I'm happy with my Jap WRX tho'.

Going for a UK turbo, as im only 21, insurance is £1200 on a standard uk turbo so would be far too expensive for import. thanks for reply mate. Oh and price of tracker on top off that aswell £500 quid. grim but worth it in my eyes.

Got a silver MY99 that I might part with if the price was right. Still under warranty and standard expect for a scoobysport back box.

Cheers.

that sounds good mate. what sort of mileage has it got? any marks or stonechips? why you selling it? will have to wait couple of weeks though as I said I'm waiting on insurance paying out. also had offer of silver MY99 13,500 miles, also silver fssh, for £11k. Is down south but would be willing to travel for that mileage and condition.

Nice one, a 'silver fssh' that must be better than the 'bronze fssh'

FSSH, got to be better than a stamped book from some side street garge.
(sings a song) How much is that dog in the showroom window, woof woof, the scooby with the nice shiney tail, woof woof, how much is that dog in the window, It would have been better left to some car sales, woof woof.
[wide mode off]
Seriously dont want to end up with a knackered car. if it has got FSSH then its a bit more piece of mind. (waits for stories about bad dealers). And preferably silver, deep mica blue or reddish blue.
