I am looking to book a rolling road day for the renault megane coupe club!Just wondering where is the best place to go.(glasgow area) also what kind of price should i expect to pay?

AVA will do it, (paisly) for 75squid. they're rollers are a bit pessimistic i hear and don't listen to there advice, they don't have a clue about scoobs. My mate had 2RS turbos from there 230bhp and 280bhp (ATW) and they both went POP!! They can only give you power at the wheels too.

I wouldn't say AVA are an less optimistic than anywhere else. I put my 4x4 RS2000 there and it made 121bhp @ wheels which is exactly what i worked out it should have been considering the mods. Obtaining a flywheel figure is based purely on guess work surely as the computer /person working it out would have know for sure what the power losses due to the transmission are.
If you're actually in Glasgow then i'd deffo reccommend AVA as they are in Glasgow and very very helpful. I really like the guys down there and have never heard of problems with their work before. The two RSt's mentioned here could have blown for any number of resons (driver is the usual failing on these sadly) and 280bhp @ wheels is possible from an RSt........** remembering fondly the flames emitted from the exhaust of the green shed**
I don't want to start a r/r war as that's not what being asked for but felt i should atleast pitch in my wee bit for AVA.
Hope this is of interest.

Strathclyde Auto Clinic has a good dyno, and excellant software for dataloging your runs.
I had my car on their dyno recently and made several runs over the course of about 3 hours tuning and found that it provided very repeatable results.
Why not drop by and speak with Henry or Michael, they'll let you know how many cars they can take, and what sort of price you'll have to pay.
You'll find a map and contact detials for them here. http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=207187

Try Robinson tuning in Cambuslang he worked wonders with our rally car and from 118bhp he managed to get 156bhp out a 1.4cc 8 valve engine.
If you want his number pm and i will dig it out.

i went to robinsons tunning a few years ago, they were great and also took my front bumper off for the run as it could'nt clear the r/r. I think they're on hamilton rd past the bp petrol station(on the left side) then a left into the industrial estate.
