I moved to The Policy Shop when they came in £400 cheaper than anyone else. They specialise in Japanese imports. Impressive service.

So what you planning on getting this time, another hairdressers car?

I'd recommend Liverpool & Victoria. Think there's a min age of 25 but they seem to be a favourite of many people on here for getting a sensible quote on import scoobies - they did it for me too.

I got a quote before I went too far down the line into buying the car (have now seen some piccies of the car JVS have sourced, and it looks fine !!) -
I'm 35, haven't had insurance in my own name for about 4 years (car insured in wife's name in that time) and I got quoted just over £800 - they allowed me 1 year ncd which I technically don't have even tho' I drive our car more than my wife.

I'm with Direct Line for my Import. Still a tad expensive at £875 @ 29yr old & named driver aged 37 too.

Cool

A-plan or Liverpool & Victoria are my favourites, although Bell Direct did me a good deal on mine a few years ago (if you've got minimal mods). If you struggling for phone numbers mail me, but most should be listed somewhere in the insurance forum.

Foz, thanks for the offer. But I’ve had my fair share of hairdresser cars

I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to drive when I get back to the deen, I've been told by my folks that I can borrow the merc for awhile. I wonder if I could re-chip SLK, do you know anywhere?

I suppose an SLK is much more manly than A Tuned TT

As for a rechip, well ya never know

No, I suppose it’s not anymore manly than a TT, but it has the advantage of the retractable roof, making it easier to get the hairdressing kit out the back
