NF octane booster in Fife - "gadge"?

I thought it was decided that boosters just changed the frequency of det,to mask it or something.
also as optimax is supposed to be 95ron+booster,is it not possible to have too much additive.

We'll soon find out I have a small timing issue at the moment which holds me to 1.4 bar at 6000 RPM to keep with decent timing. Hopefully the uppipe and the inlet pipe will help.
