One of the "senior" mods (no offense meant ) if that's what their called will be looking after things for a while, but I will be back as soon as I get internet access sorted out.

BTW today will probably be my last day so I aim to lock at least 4 posts and delete 2 before I go, just so you don't forget me

I really can't see the difference whether it's moderated from here or abroad, the rules are still exactly the same!! if you want to explain this to me then please e-mail me directly.

But if you guys are not happy with this then we may need to think about arranging something else, but that would be up to the Owner of the site, and he is more than happy for me to continue.

Any slanderous comments about saxo's = a locked thread.
Fuel surge comment = ban.
Every thread must contain a v's element.
Any mention of the old firm (from either party) = ban.
Slagging of members just because they are from another city will be totally acceptable and expected.
Any p1ssing and moaning about lack of meet turn out will be frowned upon.
You will all line my palms with silver anytime you see me or yer banned.

Actually, is there any way we could have a poll of the regular users here of the options:

1. Continue with sasim + other existing mod
2. Continue with sasim + have a vote for a new mod from amongst regulars
3. Sack sasim (no offense, Stuart! ), and have a vote for a new mod.

My personal preference is 2.

you clearly haven't started,unless this changes i will be forced to vote in miles's poll under the sack him bit LOL, all the best mate! if when you get back you find you put on about 2 stone then i know a good mountain bike you can have for a few hunner

Whilst the idea of having a poll etc. is an interesting one, in reality it is the owner of the BBS who personally selects the moderators and it is not really open for debate. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but the moderators are appointed to look after the legal interests and the smooth running of Scoobynet so the choice is very important.

I have decided that it is not really practical or desirable for me to continue moderating, so I will step down immediately and let someone else take over.

The BBS owner, the other moderators and myself will select this person shortly.

Funny; Having worked overseas for over 15 years now, which has included living in the States, Middle and Far East, I was just thinking about you relocation just the other day. I figured the fact you would continue as the Scottish moderator would keep you in touch with the local gang and give you something to do on the "quieter" nights.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and having a farewell drink...for the time being at least.

As i said earlier this was only an open question and there is no malice ment by it on my behalf.

Sasim is as you say a shining star in the Subaru Community and i have nothing to say but great things about him.
His advice and suggestions to me and the way in which i was welcomed at the first meet i attended when i became an owner was second to none.
