There is, but it is a parts list, not a blow-by-blow Haynes affair. From what I've been told, it shows in diagrams how stuff goes together. Hopefully I'll get a look at it next week.

Mail me offline if anyone knows where to download it from. Or if they fancy burning a copy onto CD for me nudge, nudge, wink, wink

The workshop manuals don't exist on the Net as far as I know, but there is a pirate copy of the parts list available somewhere, though how up to date it is no-one knows.
Dealers will sell you a full set of workshop manuals, but the price is well over £300 I believe, and would fill a good bookshelf.
There is a set for MY93 - 00 cars, and another set for MY01 cars.
For most jobs that people can carry out in their own garage, there isn't really the need for a manual, as things are relatively easy to work out. The only thing you would need the manual for are stuff like torque settings on the cylinder head, how to strip down the gearbox etc.

was told you could get a "you and your subaru impreza" or something like that from haynes but with all these stories it needed a pinch of salt and i've been unable to locate a copy so it may well have been a fairytail ????
You can buy the Haynes manual online at http://www.haynes.co.uk/inc/viewbook.asp?bt=H825
There also this one http://www.haynes.co.uk/inc/viewmanual.asp?mt=89003, but that's no use to anyone

"It`s a history of the impreza turbo and not much else. Not a fat lot of use 2 any1 wanting 2 get stuck in, IMHO Haynes have done themselves no favours with this book
