Kames - Rally for Beginners
I've just received a note about a gravel rally for newcomers at Kames, specifically designed for newcomers.

OK John, maybe I should have explained it better.....
It's a STAGE rally for newcomers to STAGE rallying.
You can't do any STAGE rallying without both competition licence and car with a logbook. This rally is organised for those that want to start small and keep costs down, there are not many loose-surface STAGE rallies in Scotland that are not full-blown SRC forest events which cost much much more.
For ture newcomers to motorsport, i.e. those that want to use their road cars (i.e. no log book) and don't want to bother with the competition licence (although it is easy to get one) then your local motor club will probably run 12-Car navigational rallies. Which, by the way are brilliant fun.
Dave, Donald, Diamrmid, Declan, Dermot, Duncan, Desmond, Dai, Daffydd. Dorian, Damian, Dougall
