wightey - you had any problems with your Scoob? Also, where did you get it? I was looking at Impreza's before I got my golf but they were a bit too pricey. I've seen that prices are a bit lower now, and am getting interested... maybe a purchase after the summer?? (The warranty on my Golf is up in November)
Cheers

nice looking golf mikey,
had the subaru for just a few weeks now but have had no real probs so far .....touch wood.
had a problem with the boost solenoid occasionaly sticking under full acceleration which caused a temporary hesitation. cleaned it out and all seems well although have ordered a replacement anyway. may just keep it as a spare and monitor it.
also had some noisy power steering, sorted by just adding some extra fluid.
apart from that all is well. i guess its like any car that when you get it first theres a few things you want to put right or need adjusted. fingers crossed it all goes well from now.i too was waiting for prices to fall on them, didnt think i was going to be able to get an sti as they were still a bit too much and have to settle for an RA but one cropped up right on time. guess i was lucky as theres only 100 version 1s. mine is number 25/100
foz, thanks for the invite. i was looking at the thread re crail and was tempted but have made plans to watch the footie final. i will keep my eyes peeled for any other coming events though so cheers.
ill watch out for you all and try to use my lights and not my wipers to wave. still screw it up in a rush sometimes....doh

sorry , forgot to add.
mike , i got it from dicksons in dunblane. they have a whole load and are really well priced. i got a great deal and they seemed really good and helpful. i would def recommend them and will prob go back when time comes to change out. they just did alot of good things that garages dont do unless you hassle them. they undersealed which was great, gave a years parts and labour warranty and did lots of little things like replacing a rusty back wiper arm even after i had said i would buy it and without being asked. also serviced with new plugs, changed all the fluids etc and fitted the jap rear fog light rather than a cheapo halfords one. they even stuck it to london on a trailer to SVA it for me since they had a long lead time at the place up here.
a very pleasant experience so far.

think theres meant to be but not sure of the address. ill get back to you. they have a whole heap of ads in autotrader on the net though. just limit the ads to trade to weed them out. if you have signed up put wrx as a keyword or something to get rid of the sports etc also so you dont have to trawl through so many.

I've got a new style STi, in blue. There are a few of them about Aberdeen, but I think mine is the only one with a registration that begins with the letters SF.
Russell - I did wave at your car last weekend (springfield road), but saw as it approached that it wasn't you driving. I didn't get a wave back, so you'll have to have a word

Hello Wightey welcome to scoobynet
I've got a Green wagon, I'll try to give you a wave if I see you but I'm usually in "Auto pilot" when driving about Aberdeen .

Let me Guess GlobalSantaFe?
Reason I know is that I work on the Adriatic 6 and I thought I'd seen a 5-door in the Dyce office - I am coming in tomorrow at about 2pm if you fancy a chat in the reception for 5 mins?
Russell
ps John, The other half has been issued the facts to penalties incurred for failing to wave at another scooby - FTW10, 3 points and a full tank of fuel fine

Yep, that's the one ;-D
Was a bit busy the day, I'm sure I might end up talking to you anyway seeing as I'm in the IT Dept.
I'm across in Dyce all this/next week so I'll maybe bump into you at some point ;-)
