Removing a dent from a 3" downpipe?
Evening all, a couple of weeks ago i bought a 3" decat down pipe and centre section. Now, it was off a crashed car that had done a slight bit of off roading lol and a few inches in from the bottom part where it bolts to the centre has been flattened off slightly.
Its still the same internal area, just a bit flat not 100% round. I have decided im not going to fit it so thinking about trying to make it round again and sell it on, but wondering if its worth the bother messing about with it?
From what i gather the motorcross boys bung the ends and then heat the **** out of it and fire compressed air in and that pops the dents out. Has anoyone any experiance of this? And will it work on a car exhaust?

If you know anyone with a chest freezer then bung both ends after filling it with water and pop it in. Same concept as the heat as the water expands when freezing.

Got a few other bits that arnt worth much but might help others so ill get them onebay too when i get round to it.

Pmsl fair play then!
Unfortunatly we have. 70/30 built in fridge freezer, with the freezer being the 30% part so wont get it in.
I have been caught empting the dishwasher once with a zetec cylinder head lol. The wife wasnt happy. Came out mint tho so worth the aggro lol
As i said, i knew about heating bike pipes but wondered if the stainless steel was thicker, ie stronger than the mild steel pipes so not sure if it would work.
