Default JDM insurance question

Hey folks, quick question.....

My insurance company sees my JDM blobeye as a UK model. Anyone know the reason why this is or is it likely a system error on their behalf?

Error on there behalf, id get it amended or they may be awkward if anythig happens.

I had same when I bought my jdm, I phoned them and got it changed on policy to jdm sti just to be sure no issues if I needed a claim, didn't cost me anything it was just wording on certificate.

important question needs attention

is vehicle covered by a specialist (Keith Michaels etc) or some numpty on go compare

Through a specialist or comparison site? Did you specify it was an import?
