ahh crap lol
Bug eye wagon. Clutch was high not sliping but high.
So got new clutch got old one off hmmm looks almost new check recipts done 6000 miles......
So fitted new clutch as got an uprated one my question is why would bite be so high and. Could I sell the old cluch? Or ok to keep as a spare?

I wouldn't personally buy a second hand clutch, but if you're anything like me you'll put it to one side as an emergency spare.
If you find out why the bite point was so high there's lots of people here who would like to know. A high bite point seems to be quite common for Impreza clutches.

Mine had new clutch and bite point just as high as old one.
Dont know if its the reason why but a high bite point gives you a quicker gear change, you don't have to push right to the floor to change, my therory anyway.

Mine's 'high' - depends on what you class as high I suppose.
I call it 'coming in early' which is a good thing imo, less movement to gear change, quicker to change etc. etc.
About 1/3 down, 'slide' into next gear.
I don't think it's like cars of days gone by, where the bite point started 'low' and when it went 'high' you knew the clutch was on the way out.
