That is one beautiful car IMO, but i just couldnt bear the thought of knowing that if i came up against a £2000 classic wrx with around 300bhp, and a descent driver, it would wipe the floor with me.
Yes you could take it to more power but it aint ginna be cheap, and id be petrified of parking it up and leaving un-attended.
Lovely car and cant see it would be for sale for long.

Almost as funny as that guy who wanted 22b money for a P1.
The mods ad no value. After 3 years, it will have lost 50% of it's 'new' value, so around £13k. And he wants £26k?
Yeah, ok.
Problem is that some idiot will pay it. Probably a rich kid with no idea of the value of money.

Lovely car but can't help thinking 10 grand would have been better spent preparing the engine so it doesn't go pop, rather than getting the seats trimmed in quilted leather and adding some jdm badges.

I would not buy that for £26k though, I'd be aiming at spending a little more on the considerably faster and higher specced car with a stronger engine, it is possible to pick up Codsworths in the low 30s now.
Just out of interest how much more would you need for an S206?

That's a bit harsh, not everyone shares your opinion of the stuff. And it looks like a dealer is selling it that would most likely be bought on finance. I'm sure by the time a good haggling was done you'd be looking at £23k with a gourd thrown in.

Ditto 26k sounds a lot. 19-21k is more realistic but you are taking the **** saying it is worth 13k.

The latter end models were coming out at 27 grand brand new apparently. So this one at 3 years old is massively overpriced.
If you take into consideration the 'average' depreciation of a new car then the price tag is even more rediculous.
This is better priced and also from a dealer, same age, similar miles and almost 10 grand cheaper.

Or for just a few more quid you could own a cosworth with uber low miles...

Buy this for £26K and you get an ugly over modified car virtually no one wants that will be worth £10K in 3 years time.
Or buy a 22B, you get an icon, the best looking Impreza made, oodles of respect from petrolheads and in 3 years time it will be worth what you paid for it and you will easily sell it if you need to.
As Kevin would say... it's a no brainer!

Still, the 50% depreciation on a 3yo old car applies on the official price not the discounted price. That's what the market tells you if you search around, as per your example above.
Personally, I would not buy a Cosworth.
I prefer the Recaros and Spec C suspension a >2010 WRX STi has and if it went pop it wouldn't cost an extra 12k to make the engine forged.

Lovely looking car but I dont think I could spend that much on it. As said before thats RS4 money. End of the day though if someone pays 26k for it then fair play its their hard earned. Slightly off topic- those seats look AMAZING. Wish my hawk came with them standard.

The Bilsteins are also far better set up for road use than the more uncompromising Spec C suspension on the Saloons IMO. It can be adjusted to suit the owner's taste though, I have mine firmer than stock. Do not confuse it with the setup on the stock 2008 car, which left a lot to be desired.
The pillow ball can be bought and installed for a few hundred pounds if it means that much, I'll let you know how much better the car is when I get round to fitting it. I have already added a host of 20th anniversary and R205 bits such as cross member support braces and I can't tell the difference.
By the way the Cosworth has re-upholstered recaros and very comfortable they are too
I don't get the last comment about £12k, the engine on the Cosworth is fully forged.
