Default The Classic High-level spoiler

So I've tried doing a lot of digging to not much avail.

Can anyone tell when the High level spoilers on the Classics actually came out?
Was it strictly only V5 / V6 STi models? Or was it ever an option on others from factory to have say the high level spoiler fitted to a WRX, or the earlier model STi's?

Just looking for some concrete info as there isn't much about it on the net.

I actually just had a look through there before posting here.
It doesnt really say anything about the high levels being available on only the V5/V6 STi's.
But saying that It also doesn't say that they were an option on any of the other models, hence why I've asked.

I guess this kind of helps people when looking for a genuine high level spoiler and not a copy. So if its fitted to a 95' WRX its more than likely going to be a copy unless specified that its a genuine one. Im still trying to figure out the actually differences between Replica and Genuine high level spoilers. Always handy for future reference.

Well, pure speculation on my part as I am only guessing but it looks to me that they are a kind of copy of the one used on the 22b, so again guessing that anything before 97/8 will be a copy.

I supppose that could be one theory. Do we know the exact differences from the Genuine to Replica Spoilers ? I've gathered so far that Replica's are usually made from Fibreglass, Heavy, some don't have the lower cover under the center brake light, the brake light MUST be white to determine that its genuine (have seen no copies with white brake lamps) and something to do with underneath and screws?

All the images on HERE are from the factory brochure for the car in question.
STi 5/6 rear spoilers are different which you can see from the images on the guide.

The prodrive wing for the classic is the best high level one - its the one with the LEDs on the underside of top part of the wing, rather than on the topside of the bottom of the wing - which is the one shown in the brochure.

AFAIK, the UK v4 was delivered with a low tea-tray spoiler, the STi with an arch spoiler.

From V5, the hoop spoiler arrived.
V6 has a slight upward kick to the rear of the top of the hoop.

If you are thinking of getting one, I would urge you to take your time and buy ONLY a genuine one.
