PPP on a EU import
#1
Has anyone with an EU import fitted PPP yet??
Is it true that a UK dealer will not rectify a problem with our vehicle if:
a: there is a problem with PPP
b: PPP has caused a problem

BL,
hello m8, here's what I reckon.
a:not sure about this one, I'll contact Subaru Benelux and find out. This was one of my concerns aswell, pain if you had to go back to Belgium with any problems. I would think the supplier or Prodrive would be the first point of call and the work would possibly be via a UK dealer.
Hopefully Nick Wadeson from Prodrive can provide some input.
b:As the PPP does not effect the warranty, the warranty is still in place as it was before fitting so any problems would be fixed in the same way as before PPP. PPP or no PPP it's not upto the dealer or IM to decide whether to rectify the problem. Any issues are fed back to the supplying company via the dealer and they make the decision as to whether to fix it, dealer gets a yeh or neh, fixes problem and claims back via the supplying company. In our case Subaru Benelux.
Just found this post from Nick on the 11 February which says it all really.
Looks good to me

Imports from Suabru Benelux have a three year 60'000 mile warranty. If THEY fit the PPP and you keep to their service schedule (which is currently different from that in the UK) then your warranty will be unafected.
Claims are handled in the same way as any other fault on your WRX. Contact Subaru Benelux who will then authorise the work to be carried out, go to a UK dealer, pay them and then claim it back from Benelux.

We can get PPP fitted from Belgium for €2000 from the Subaru Troch. Not a bad price, but my concerns as mentioned are holding em back. I reckon, if we definitey go for it, as long as we get a few interests, we can still knock the price down.

Yeh got quoted 1999 from mine.
Have you been watching the euro value lately It's dropped a bit but doesn't really make that much difference, 25 squid here or there but that's the price of a 24hr day return ferry ticket
Have you had a quote for your insurance yet.
