Yes. They are made by robots in a large man made factory... then shipped 12k miles on a big boat. Then distributed in a nation with very high import, sales and profit taxes...

what companies are them ?

I found a load on a couple of websites, RHD Japan & Japanparts but they are in japan, and prices don't include shipping taxes etc.

then I found a couple in the UK, Scooby parts but they don't have much choice and import car parts do quite a bit but its a fortune.

like this

http://www.japanesecarimports.net/pa...en=&searchKey=

a battery clamp kit for £115 !!!

but it does look nice though :P

Buying from overseas is cheaper when you buy the product but once you add on shipping, import tax it soon drives the cost up. Plus you need to remember that if you have any problems with a product where would you rather return it, a local company or half way around the world.

Are you looking for anything specific, we do a nice selection of parts you might be interested in.

The exchange rate is shîte so that's the main problem.

The other issue is things like that fancy battery clamp are actually quite low volume so from a major manufacturer you are going to pay a premium.

I guess it depends how much you want those parts over something custom made by someone on our shores.
