Default Opinion this specific JDM STI needed

Hey guys

My other thread was a bit misleading and old.
Would appreciate if you could help me out a bit.

I have this specific example in mind:
http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge//d...l?id=185860017

Translated from german:
Widetrack JDM Blobeye STI 2005
37k miles
04/2005
Directly from Japan

Price would be around 11.000 GBP

I´m going to look at it on saturday and probably buy it

Do you got any tips or advice when visiting the car? I read a whole lot of stuff about scoobies, different versions etc. but any personel know how from you would be great (especially about the health of the engine and how to check it)

Greetings from germany

First and foremost full service history preferably with respected specialist. Avoid if skipped oil changes. Cambelt should have been done once or twice on that car.

Inspect the pads and brakes for heavy wear.

Gear changes should be "rifle bolt" slick and precise, clutch should be heavy but with a slick action. Sometimes it can be a bit jumpy going from first to second if you don't get it right though. Crunching and clunking not good sounds!

Watch out for whiny turbos and engine knocks but these are rare on low mileage 2.0 cars.

JDM cars can suffer from rust, look out for this and ask if it's been rust proofed/treated and whether or not it was done properly.

Look out for signs of accident damage before and after it was imported.

Mods - ask if it has had any upgrades. Turbos, pistons and decat exhausts need remapped management systems.

Rear shocks on these cars are well known to knock, don't be too upset if they do it is an easy fix and can happen suddenly at any time.

Aside general condition these are the points I'd generally look out for.

JDM cars only rust after they have ben exposed to European roads. Get it underseal as part of the purchase.

Looks like a top motor though.
