He is boasting that he beat a Subaru thats worth max £10k in a Audi R8??? Not really something to brag about!!! And they say Subaru owners are all chavs, you got grown men in Audi R8's and Vauxhall VXR8's and there sharing there racing stories on a public forum!!!

Assuming he's driving an older VXR8 with around 420 each bhp & ft/lbs, if it's not tweaked.
If it's a new one it's around 550 of each.
Also assuming he's up against a stock STi with around 35% less of each.
And he gave it a good thrashing.
Quelle surprise.
Oh well, another ***** waving contest done and dusted.

I don't think it's an Audi, as he mentions 'ozzie muscle'. Must be a VXR8 as that's mentioned further down the thread.

There's not nearly enough information to make this claim to fame the least bit interesting, or shaming come to that.
What were the prevailing conditions? Wet, dry? Straight road, twisties? Public road, private road? Rolling start, standing start? Did the scooby driver give a toss?

Thing is my 58 year old dad drives a standard bugeye WRX(215bhp) fills it up with normal unleaded etc if you was to go against that in anything with turbo(lets say a 180bhp hot hatch) you would probably beat him. Not exactly something to brag about!!

Let's face it, it would only be in a straight line and dry, so probably on a motorway if his temps had time to rise to 130.

I like the big muscle cars but they don't do twisties and get very boring very quickly, I had one in NZ for 3 weeks got sick of it after a couple of days couldn't corner for toffee.

Yeah I did figure that bit out for myself
For a minute I thought you were going to say it was on a private road
I'm sure the scooby driver lost a whole lot of sleep though.

Would it be rude for me to ask the circumstances and exactly how you embarrassed the Subaru...in what context...off the lights? around a bend? down a hill?

Why do Scoobys attract such attention? Few years ago i parked mine up outside local pub at which point two yoofs sat in the beer garden proceed to tell me how they raced it from lights yesterday in their Corsa and "blitzed" it to which i replied "oh you mean with my wife driving home from tesco with my 2 month old daughter in the back" ******
