Default Rebuild and store?

Just after some advice which way to go.
I have just had a rebuilt engine fitted to my wrx and still have my original to hand. I am now thinking of rebuilding mine as a spare.Should i (a) rebuild it now and store it (if so how would you advise to do so?) or (b) leave it in bits and rebuild when needed. Thanks in advance.

I would build a 2.1 Stroker or something else a little special. Your "rebuilt one" should last while x

I would say you are ok to store it for 12-24 months as long as the store area is clean and dry. If outside, under a tarp, forget it! Personally, I would may be get the parts over the next year or so but not build it until you need to.

It's the gaskets that will cause you the most grief.

no worries fudgey,i did say to the to the other half after i clicked submit that it may read wrong.i think gear heads is the most logical though down to not knowing how long the engine could be sat rebuilt for only to fit and then find gaskets and seals have perished and then have to strip down and rebuild again.
